WSEPI PROJECT HISTORY

Work began Summer 2009 creating a standard profile form that would be the basis for building a Sustainable Enterprise Profiles collection.

The form evolved through several iterations of Google docs with assistance from William L. Anderson, Steve Ardire, Janice Juvrud, Terri McNichol and Victoria Zelin.

Alpha testing of the profile form started August "09 and by necessity quickly focused on how to make adding new profiles and including the standard profile template form as simple as possible.

That process took longer than ever imagined as with learning about MediaWiki templating, WikiTex and adding the term "transclude" to the  vocabulary. Deep appreciation goes to Angela McClowry and Nancy White for their support during this effort.

Alpha ended  2009-08-19 with the standard profile form refined and 3 cases created using it: Trane, thanks to Terri McNichol, InnoCentive and Stone Barns created by Jenny Ambrozek as tests. We hope MediaWiki editing mechanics will not stand in the way of maximum profile contributions.

2009-8-27 concerned after sharing WSE with colleagues new to using MediaWiki, the option to contribute profiles working from a Google Doc version of the profile template was added.

Understanding contributor time constraints the option to simply start a page and share a sustainable enterprise story was also added.

If usability proves a barrier to contributing please add your suggestions for improving to the Usability page.

Thank you for your interest and contributions.
