Activity: Results Collated and Analyzed

Objective

It is at this stage in the process that the success of the overall sustainability program can be measured. The data and information from the various projects across the organization is sent to be processed and review by the Sustainability Program Manager.

Information needs to be organized into the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that were defined earlier on in Activity 1.3.

All reports produced should be reviewed and signed off by the Sustainability Governance Organization. The publically available reports are not ready for the public at this stage. They must pass through audit and legal sign in later stages before being made available.

Major Deliverables

  • Summary Reports

Tasks

Analysis and summary of projects

Objective: Project data and information such as photos can be stored within FISDev. With a summary of this made accessible to all through the publically available component. Secondly a more complete version of information can be made available inside the organization through the internal FISDev. This enables easy access to the information for it to be used in various formats for interested departments such as the Annual Report team, Internal Communications, Marketing, Environmental Health & Safety and Corporate Responsibility.

Analysis and summary of program

Objective: The roll-up of the projects into an overall program view with analysis of the performance. Key messages will need to be distilled for internal dissemination along with a publically available summary of the organizations performance. The most representative KPIs should be chosen to demonstrate achievements or shortfalls. Improvements in performance can also be demonstrated with enhancements to the management of sustainability. As sometimes it is hard to demonstrate performance when short term business decisions have been made that can have negative effect, but there is still management commitment to long term sustainability.

Yellow Flags

  • There may be a conflict in what results to report publically, hesitance in reporting bad news.
  • There may be a general feeling of better performance then the results are showing.
